It is well-known that guys like to talk about sports. Only recently did I realize that sports talk is unhindered by by even the most extreme language barrier. My second night here, we were out at a bar and struck up a conversation with some 18 year-old Japanese guys. Within minutes we were talking basketball. Somehow we made it to the topic of Muggsy Bogues, at which point the conversation crashed and burned, but I'm amazed we got that far. Anyway, this is a sloppy segue into my illustrated report on Japanese baseball.

Josh here. I've moved the hosting of semifat.net over to a shared hosting service, Total Choice Hosting. Hopefully, this will reduce the number of home-server incidents that seem to befall this site, like the connection going down because I've kicked the cord while trying to chase a bat out of my apartment.
At any rate, things may be a little bumpy over the next few days, as DNS changes propogate and I get all the files put in the right places. I appreciate your patience.
Added a page featuring the Sapporo Obon Festival. Also added a few pics to the Bachelor Pad page. Also note that I am attempting to make the index less ugly. Not done yet, but it's a start. There is much to discuss, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow. I [heart] sleep.
I've seen quite a bit of high-quality engrish in the time I've been here, but have rarely been prepared to document it with my camera. Sorry, I suck. I'm trying, though. I just threw up (how appropriate, as I am rather drunk at the moment) my Engrish page, which currently features two whole pictures. I'll definitely be adding pics in future - stay tuned.
Howdy. I've been in Japan for a whopping 2.5 weeks, mostly in my new home, Sapporo. I am now internetified at home (I think I got the msblast worm no less than 10 seconds after connecting), so I'll attempt to get cracking on this log. For starters, I've documented my lovely abode. Need sleep now.
